At Kiwell, we believe emotional well-being deserves care, safety, and respect. We are building a gentle digital sanctuary where you can nurture your pet and yourself. We treat your data with the same care and respect that you give to your Kiwell companion.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Kiwell app, including AI Chat, Tarot features, journaling, and “The Answer of Books.”

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to make Kiwell work for you, following the principle of data minimization (we only collect what is necessary).

A. Information You Share With Us

Account Data

If you create an account using email, Apple ID, or Google, we store basic account information such as your email address and display name. This information is used only for account management and authentication.

Journal & Reflections

Content you write in daily check-ins, gratitude journals, or personal reflections is stored securely and is accessible only to you.

Interactive Inputs (AI & Tarot)

When you interact with AI Chat, Tarot readings, or “The Answer of Books,” we process the text you submit in order to generate a response.

B. Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data

We collect information such as feature usage frequency, interaction patterns, and crash reports. This data is aggregated or anonymized where possible and used to improve app stability and performance.

Device Information

We collect device type, operating system, app version, and general location (country or region). We do not collect precise GPS location data.

Analytics Technologies

We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand how features are used and to improve user experience. Analytics collection can be disabled in Settings → Privacy → Disable Analytics.

2. Mental Health & Sensitive Information

Some user-generated content, including journals and AI conversations, may contain emotional or mental health–related information.

Kiwell is not a medical or mental health treatment service and does not provide clinical diagnoses or medical advice. If you are experiencing distress or crisis, please seek support from a licensed professional or local emergency services.

All such content is treated as sensitive personal data and protected accordingly.

3. AI Features & Third-Party Processing

Kiwell uses third-party AI service providers (such as OpenAI) to deliver AI Chat, Tarot readings, and book-based responses.

AI Processing

Only the text you submit and minimal technical metadata (such as language and timestamp) are transmitted to the AI service. We do not transmit passwords or authentication credentials, and we do not intentionally attach persistent personal identifiers to AI prompts.

Privacy & Safeguards

Where technically feasible, automated filtering is applied to remove obvious personal identifiers. AI request logs are retained for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention, after which they are deleted or anonymized. We do not sell AI prompt content or use it for advertising.

Model Training

Depending on the AI provider’s policies, submitted prompts may or may not be used for service improvement. Where available, we configure provider settings to limit training use. You may disable AI features entirely in Settings → Privacy.

Storage Location

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States.

Security Measures

We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption at rest, encryption in transit, and strict access controls to protect your information.

Retention

Account data and personal content are retained until you delete your account. After deletion, personal data is permanently removed from active systems within 30 days. Anonymized usage data may be retained for up to 12 months for service improvement. Some backups may persist longer if legally required.

You may manage your data in the app via Settings → Account, or contact us at CustomerTeam@rayenergytech.com. We will respond within one month, with extensions for complex requests where permitted by law.

Kiwell is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted promptly. Parents or guardians may contact us to request deletion。

For users located outside the United States, including the European Union, personal data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and contractual protections.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or email. Continued use of Kiwell after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
